How it works
TallyBrick is free for homeowners. It takes a few minutes, and you never need to share your quote with anyone else.
TallyBrick is free for homeowners because trade firms pay for membership and introductions. Paid members may appear higher in the firm list, but payment never affects your quote check, our checks on a firm or whether that firm suits your job.

A few plain questions about the job — its size, finish, access and whether VAT is included — so we compare the right kind of work.
We compare your total and each item with typical prices for similar work in your part of the UK. We also tell you how much evidence supports the comparison.
We list anything that looks missing or unusual and turn it into short, polite questions you can ask the person who wrote the quote.
If the price is outside the range, or you simply want more options, ask for no-obligation quotes from up to three checked local firms. We share nothing unless you ask us to.
Each price range starts with our estimate for that type of work, adjusted for typical costs in your region and shown including VAT. As more genuine quotes are checked in your area, we include those real figures. Every result tells you how much evidence we have, so you know whether the comparison is well supported or only a rough guide.

We do not have enough examples of this work in your area yet, so we do not compare the total.

Moderate

Stronger
Fifteen or more real quotes, and at least half of your quote lines matched to a known category.
